Experience Jan Lisiecki live on March 7th
Jan Lisiecki will perform at Heinz Hall for the Performing Arts in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on March 7, 2027. Lisiecki is a Polish-Canadian pianist recognized internationally for his insightful and poetic interpretations of classical repertoire. His performances are often characterized by a mature musicality beyond his years, frequently featuring works by composers such as Chopin, Mozart, and Beethoven, though he also explores 20th and 21st-century compositions. He is known for a lyrical touch and a clear, refined technique.
Heinz Hall originally opened in 1927 as the Loew’s Penn Theatre, a lavish movie palace designed in the atmospheric style by William H. McElfatrick and Mel Kinne. It was a prominent venue for film premieres and vaudeville acts during its early decades. Facing decline with changing entertainment habits, the theater was gifted to the city of Pittsburgh in 1968 by the Stanley Warner Corporation with the stipulation it be used for performing arts.
