Experience Jan Lisiecki live on March 6th
Jan Lisiecki will perform at Heinz Hall for the Performing Arts in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on March 6, 2027. Lisiecki is a Polish-Canadian pianist renowned for his poetic interpretations and technical precision. His repertoire spans from the core classical composers like Beethoven, Chopin, and Mozart to works by Romantic and 20th-century masters, often characterized by a mature musicality despite his relatively young age. He frequently performs both solo recitals and concertos with leading orchestras worldwide.
Heinz Hall, originally known as the Loew’s Penn Theatre, opened in 1927 as a lavish movie palace during the height of the atmospheric theatre era. Designed by William H. Gable, it showcased ornate architectural details inspired by European Renaissance and Baroque styles. In 1979, after years of declining attendance for film screenings, the building was meticulously restored and repurposed as a performing arts center. It became the permanent home of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and hosts a diverse range of performances including classical music concerts, Broadway shows, opera, dance, and other events. The hall's acoustics are highly regarded within the orchestral music community and it is considered a landmark building in Pittsburgh’s Cultural District.
