Isata Kanneh-Mason, a British pianist gaining international recognition, will perform at the Sydney Opera House on October 12, 2026. Her repertoire spans a broad range, encompassing classical composers like Chopin and Beethoven alongside contemporary works, often showcasing a lyrical and emotionally expressive style. Kanneh-Mason is noted for her insightful interpretations and technically assured performances; she frequently champions works by Black composers, bringing greater visibility to their contributions to classical music.

The Sydney Opera House, the concert venue, is a globally recognised architectural landmark. Officially opened in 1973 after 14 years of construction, its distinctive design – featuring a series of concrete “shells” – was conceived by Danish architect Jørn Utzon. The building sits prominently on Bennelong Point in Sydney Harbour and is a multi-venue performing arts centre. It houses multiple performance spaces including the Concert Hall, Joan Sutherland Theatre, Drama Theatre, Playhouse and Studio.
