Experience Ghost-Note live on June 27th
Ghost-Note is scheduled to perform at the Terrace at Memorial Union in Madison, Wisconsin on June 27, 2026. The band blends instrumental prowess with elements of funk, jazz, hip-hop, and rock, often described as “athletic funk.” Formed by Snarky Puppy’s percussionist Nate Werth and keyboardist/vocalist Sputter Jankowski, Ghost-Note emphasizes improvisation and a high-energy live experience. Their music frequently features complex rhythmic structures and extended instrumental jams.
The Terrace at Memorial Union is a longstanding outdoor venue on the shores of Lake Mendota. Originally constructed in 1928, it’s known for its distinctive sunburst-patterned chairs – over 1,000 of them – and its casual atmosphere. The Terrace has hosted a diverse range of musical acts throughout its history, becoming a central part of the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus experience and a popular destination for residents and visitors alike. It operates seasonally, generally from May through October, offering free concerts most evenings during the summer months. The space is designed to be accessible with open seating arrangements allowing attendees to enjoy views of the lake while experiencing performances.
