Experience Flat Earth Society live on September 27th
Flat Earth Society is a musical project originating from the United Kingdom, characterized by a blend of post-punk, noise rock, and elements of free improvisation. Their sound frequently incorporates angular guitar work, driving basslines, and often features spoken-word or declamatory vocals exploring themes of societal control, misinformation, and existential questioning – though not directly related to the flat earth theory itself; the band name is largely ironic. They have released several albums on independent labels since forming in the early 2010s and have toured extensively throughout Europe.
TivoliVredenburg, located in Utrecht, Netherlands, is a modern concert hall complex that opened in 2014. It was created through the merger of the historic Tivoli concert hall and Vredenburg music centre. The complex comprises five halls of varying sizes – Hertz (largest), Pandora, Cloud Nine, Leeuwarden and Jules – each designed with distinct acoustic properties and intended for diverse musical genres ranging from pop and rock to classical and jazz. The building’s architecture is notable for its glass dome structure built around the original Tivoli building. It is a significant cultural venue within Utrecht and hosts both Dutch and international artists attracting a broad audience.
