Euge Groove, born Stephen Eugene Grove, is a contemporary jazz saxophonist known for his smooth jazz and fusion style. His music frequently incorporates elements of funk, R&B, and gospel, often featuring melodic improvisation and polished production. He gained prominence in the late 1990s and early 2000s with albums like “Slick” and has released numerous recordings since, consistently charting on Billboard’s contemporary jazz charts.

Yoshi's Oakland, located in Jack London Square, has a significant history as a premier jazz and music venue in the San Francisco Bay Area. Originally founded in Berkeley in 1974 by Yoshie Akimoto, it quickly became renowned for hosting both established jazz legends and emerging artists. The venue relocated to Oakland in 2007 after a fire destroyed the original location. Yoshi’s is recognized for its intimate setting and high-quality sound system, fostering a close connection between performers and audiences.
