Experience Daniel Villarreal live on July 24th
Daniel Villarreal will perform at SFJAZZ in San Francisco on July 24, 2026. Villarreal is a drummer and composer whose work blends jazz improvisation with elements of electronic music, house, and Afro-Latin rhythms. His compositions often feature intricate polyrhythms and a focus on groove, creating a sound that is both intellectually stimulating and deeply danceable. He frequently utilizes live looping and effects processing as integral parts of his performance practice.
SFJAZZ is a non-profit organization dedicated to the presentation, promotion, and preservation of jazz and related musical forms. Founded in 1983 by Brent Hayes, it initially operated as a presenter of concerts at various venues throughout San Francisco. In 2013, SFJAZZ opened its own dedicated performance space, the SFJAZZ Center, in the SoMa district. The Center houses two primary performance venues – the Robert N. Miner Auditorium (800 seats) and Joe Henderson Lab (130 seats) – alongside rehearsal spaces, offices, and a jazz education center. SFJAZZ hosts hundreds of performances annually featuring internationally renowned artists as well as emerging talent, and offers extensive educational programs for all ages.
