Originally constructed as a warehouse in 1910 for the Northwestern Fuel Company, the building underwent extensive renovation to become a boutique hotel. The design emphasizes exposed brick, timber beams, and industrial-chic elements reflecting its historical roots.

The hotel features a focus on local craftsmanship and Minnesota-sourced materials throughout its interior.
