Studio Ernest-Ansermet in Geneva serves as a dedicated space for electroacoustic music creation, research, and performance. Established in 1976, it’s named after the Swiss composer Ernest Ansermet, a pioneer in the field of musique concrète. The studio boasts a unique architectural design specifically tailored for sound experimentation, featuring a control room and a variable acoustics chamber. It’s equipped with an extensive collection of analog synthesizers, tape machines, and digital audio tools – representing a commitment to both historical and contemporary methods of sound production. The studio is affiliated with Haute École d'art et de design Genève (HEAD – Genève) and plays an important role in education alongside its artistic output. It has hosted numerous internationally renowned composers and artists throughout its history.
