Blondshell, the musical project of Sabrina Teitelbaum, will be performing at Varsity Theater in Minneapolis, Minnesota on October 23, 2026. Her music is generally categorized as indie rock and alternative, often drawing comparisons to 90s artists like Liz Phair and Mazzy Star. Lyrically, Blondshell’s songs explore themes of vulnerability, self-reflection, and relationships with a raw and honest approach. Musically, her work blends elements of lo-fi aesthetics with polished production, creating a sound that is both intimate and expansive. She released her debut EP *She Knows* in 2022 followed by her critically acclaimed self-titled debut album in 2023.

Varsity Theater originally opened in 1909 as a vaudeville house and movie palace. Throughout its history, it has transitioned through various uses including a single-screen cinema. In the late 1980s it was renovated and re-established as a live music venue. The theater is known for its relatively intimate capacity – approximately 850 standing or 650 seated – and its historic architectural details which have been largely preserved.
