The Banda Municipal de Barcelona is a wind orchestra with a repertoire spanning over 190 years, encompassing original compositions for band, transcriptions of orchestral works, and arrangements of popular and traditional Catalan music. Historically rooted in civic celebrations and public performances, the band’s style blends classical traditions with distinctly Mediterranean influences and showcases both established composers and contemporary works.

L'Auditori, inaugurated in 1999, serves as the main concert hall for the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra (Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya - OBC) and hosts a diverse range of musical events. Designed by Rafael Moneo, its architecture emphasizes integration with the surrounding urban landscape. The hall features three spaces: the Sala Sinfónica, known for its acoustic quality; the Sala de Cambra (Chamber Hall); and the Sala Antoni Gaudí dedicated to smaller performances and educational activities. It is considered a landmark building within Barcelona’s cultural infrastructure and a key venue for both national and international artists. The building aims to be environmentally sustainable incorporating various energy-efficient technologies.
