András Schiff will perform at Amare, The Hague on March 22, 2027. Schiff is internationally renowned for his interpretations of composers such as Bach, Beethoven, Schubert, and Janáček. His playing is characterized by clarity, intellectual rigor, and a deeply personal connection to the music; often described as possessing both technical brilliance and profound musicality. He frequently performs solo recitals and chamber music, and is known for his thoughtful programming choices which often explore thematic connections between works.

Amare opened in 2021 and functions as a cultural hub for The Hague. The building itself replaced the former Lucent Dance School and the Dr Anton Philipszaal concert hall. Designed by Mecanoo architects, Amare houses five halls: the Grote Zaal (Great Hall), the Jurriaanse Zaal, the Studio, the Small Hall, and the Silver Hall. It’s intended to be a versatile space accommodating a range of performances including classical music concerts, dance performances, opera and pop concerts. Amare aims to be accessible to a broad audience and actively promotes cultural participation within the region.
