Experience Isabelle Faust live on October 20th
Isabelle Faust is a German violinist renowned for her historically informed performances and insightful interpretations of both standard repertoire and lesser-known works. Her playing is characterized by clarity, precision, and a commitment to exploring the original intentions of composers, often utilizing period instruments or historically appropriate techniques. She frequently engages with music from the Baroque, Classical, and Romantic periods, but also champions contemporary composers.
The concert on October 20, 2026 will take place at Amare, a modern cultural complex in The Hague. Opened in September 2021, Amare houses the Residentie Orkest (Residentie Orchestra), the Nederlands Dans Theater (Netherlands Dance Theatre), and the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. The building itself occupies a prominent location opposite the Spuiplein, integrating into the historic city center while presenting a contemporary architectural design by Mecanoo architecten.
Amare’s construction involved significant renovation and expansion of existing structures – notably the former Lucent Danstheater and the Dr Anton Philipszaal – aiming to create a dynamic hub for performing arts and education.
