Experience Zachary Wilder live on August 15th
Zachary Wilder is a contemporary American composer and performer known for his vocal music, often described as blending elements of baroque counterpoint, minimalist repetition, and experimental vocal techniques. His compositions frequently explore the human voice as a central instrument, pushing its boundaries through extended techniques and microtonal explorations. Wilder’s work often incorporates texts from diverse sources, including historical and philosophical writings.
The concert on August 15th, 2026 will be held at Drottningholm Slottsteater, a UNESCO World Heritage site located on the island of Lovön in Stockholm County, Sweden. Originally constructed in 1766 on commission from Queen Lovisa Ulrika, the theatre is remarkably well-preserved and remains largely unchanged since its inauguration. It is considered one of the oldest surviving rococo theatres in Europe and operated continuously for over two centuries with very few alterations to its original design or machinery.
The theatre’s unique acoustic properties and intimate setting – it seats approximately 90 people – contribute significantly to the experience of performances held there.
