Widespread Panic will perform at The Riverside Theater in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on October 24, 2026. The band is widely recognized as a foundational act within the jam band scene, blending elements of Southern rock, blues, funk, and psychedelic rock. Formed in Athens, Georgia in 1986, they are known for their extensive touring schedule and improvisational live performances, with a dedicated and consistently traveling fanbase. Their musical style often features extended instrumental jams and dynamic song structures.

The Riverside Theater originally opened in 1927 as a Vaudeville house and movie palace. Designed by architects Eschweiler & Eschweiler, it’s noted for its ornate Spanish Baroque architectural style featuring detailed plasterwork and a lavish interior. After periods of decline and closure, the theater underwent a comprehensive restoration completed in 2019.

Today, The Riverside Theater functions as a multi-purpose venue hosting concerts, theatrical productions, comedy shows and other live events. It has a seating capacity of approximately 2,400 and is owned by the Pabst Theater Group who also operate other historic venues in Milwaukee. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places recognizing its cultural significance.
