VOCES8, the acclaimed British vocal ensemble, is scheduled to perform at the Konzerthaus Vienna’s Mozart Saal on September 16, 2026. The group is recognized for its diverse repertoire spanning Renaissance polyphony to jazz-influenced arrangements and contemporary commissions. Their performances are characterized by a blend of technical precision, expressive phrasing, and a commitment to accessibility, often performing unaccompanied and exploring a wide range of musical styles.

The Konzerthaus Mozart Saal is a historically significant venue within the larger Konzerthaus complex. Opened in 1913, the Konzerthaus was designed by architect Carl König as a direct response to the Musikverein, aiming to provide a more intimate and modern concert experience. The Mozart Saal, specifically, is renowned for its excellent acoustics and elegant design; it seats approximately 840 people and features a horseshoe-shaped hall inspired by the Teatro San Carlo in Naples. It’s frequently used for chamber music performances, song recitals and smaller orchestral concerts. Throughout its history it has hosted numerous internationally renowned musicians and continues to be a central location for classical music in Vienna.
