Kloster Eberbach, located in Eltville am Rhein, Germany, is a former Cistercian monastery founded in 1135. Throughout its history, it served as a significant agricultural and economic center for the region, particularly noted for its viticulture – wine production remains central to its identity today. Following secularization in 1803, the monastery transitioned into state ownership and underwent restoration in the 19th century.

The Kloster Eberbach complex showcases Romanesque and Gothic architectural styles. Its courtyard, church, and cellar vaults are particularly noteworthy features. The site gained further recognition through its use as a filming location for Umberto Eco's *The Name of the Rose* (1986). The acoustics within the monastery church are considered exceptional and regularly host musical performances due to their resonance and natural amplification qualities.
