Kloster Eberbach, located in Eltville am Rhein, is a former Cistercian monastery with a rich history dating back to 1135. Founded by monks from Clairvaux, it flourished for over 800 years as an agricultural and intellectual center. Following secularization in 1803, the monastery transitioned into private ownership and underwent restoration.

Today, Kloster Eberbach is renowned for its well-preserved Romanesque and Gothic architecture, including the impressive vaulted cellars – once used for wine production – and the Baroque church.
