VOCES8, the British vocal ensemble, will perform at Eberbach Abbey in Eltville am Rhein, Germany on August 7, 2026. The group is known for its diverse repertoire spanning classical, jazz, pop and contemporary vocal music, delivered with a focus on precision, blend and expressive interpretation. They frequently perform unaccompanied and explore arrangements of existing pieces alongside original compositions.

Eberbach Abbey (Kloster Eberbach) is a former Cistercian monastery founded in 1136. It’s situated in the Rheingau wine region and remains a remarkably well-preserved example of Cistercian architecture. The abbey flourished through viticulture, becoming a significant landowner and producer of wine from the 12th century onwards; this tradition continues today with the abbey operating its own winery. Following secularization in 1803, the complex served various purposes including a mental asylum before undergoing extensive restoration beginning in the 20th century.

The abbey's architecture showcases Romanesque and Gothic styles, notably its church with its ribbed vaulting and cloister. Its atmospheric spaces have made it a popular location for film shoots, including scenes from “The Name of the Rose.
