Vivian Girls initially gained prominence in the late 2000s with a series of independently released EPs and their self-titled debut album in 2009 before disbanding in 2016 and subsequently reuniting.

Mosswood Park Amphitheater is an outdoor venue located within Mosswood Park in East Oakland. Originally constructed in the 1950s as a bandshell, it underwent significant renovations completed in 2018 transforming it into a dedicated amphitheater space. The venue is known for its intimate setting and hosts a variety of musical performances, community events, and film screenings throughout the year. It’s managed by the City of Oakland’s Parks & Recreation Department and has a capacity of approximately 950 people.
