Büchelmuseum Rote Burg is a museum dedicated to the work of the artist couple Bettina und Herbert Stössel. The building itself dates back to the early 20th century and was designed in an Expressionist style by Ludwig Paffendorf. Originally conceived as a studio house for artists, it was bequeathed to the city of Aachen by the Stössels in 1985 to be established as a museum. The museum’s intimate setting and architectural character make it a unique venue for artistic presentations.
