Tlalok is a Denver-based atmospheric black metal band, known for incorporating elements of depressive black metal and post-black metal into their sound. Their music often features lengthy compositions, raw production aesthetics, and lyrical themes centered around nature, isolation, and existential dread. The band has released a full-length album, *Réquiem para un Mundo Muerto*, in 2023 via Shattered Darkness Records, and several earlier demos and EPs.

Last Rites is a long-running independent venue in Milwaukee, Wisconsin dedicated to underground extreme music. Established in the early 2000s, it has become a significant hub for black metal, death metal, doom metal, and related genres within the Midwestern United States. The venue is characterized by its intimate capacity – generally accommodating under 100 attendees – and its focus on showcasing both established international acts and emerging local bands within the heavier music spectrum. Last Rites consistently hosts touring bands that rarely play in the region, building a reputation for supporting niche musical communities. It operates as a standing-room only space with a deliberately stark aesthetic.
