Black Country, a British post-punk band formed in 2019, will be performing at Turner Hall Ballroom in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on June 28, 2026. Their music is characterized by driving, angular guitar work, prominent bass lines, and spoken-word vocal delivery often exploring themes of urban life and societal observation. Influences range from Joy Division and The Fall to more contemporary acts within the post-punk revival scene. Turner Hall Ballroom holds a significant place in Milwaukee’s cultural history. Originally built in 1889 by the German-American community as a social and performance venue, it served as a hub for political rallies, theatrical productions, and musical events. It underwent extensive renovations in 2007 restoring many of its original architectural features while upgrading facilities. The building continues to function as a multi-purpose venue hosting concerts, lectures, and community gatherings.
