The Miramar Theatre originally opened in 1926 as a Vaudeville house known as the Palace Theatre. Throughout its history it operated under various names including the Uptown Theatre and the Palms Theatre before becoming The Miramar Theatre in 1998. The venue underwent significant renovations in the early 2000s, restoring many of its original architectural details while updating its technical capabilities. It’s now a standing-room general admission venue known for hosting a diverse range of musical acts, comedy shows, and other live events. The theatre maintains a capacity of approximately 850 people and is located on North Avenue in Milwaukee’s East Side neighborhood.
