Tlalok is scheduled to perform at Bremen Cafe in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on June 29, 2026. The musical project, led by composer and percussionist Miguel Vargas, blends elements of Afro-Peruvian music with jazz improvisation and electronic soundscapes. Tlalok’s compositions frequently feature traditional Peruvian instruments like the cajón and quena alongside synthesizers and layered percussion, creating a dynamic and rhythmically complex sonic experience. Vargas draws heavily from his heritage while incorporating influences from contemporary experimental music.

Bremen Cafe is a long-standing Milwaukee venue known for its intimate atmosphere and dedication to showcasing diverse musical genres, particularly jazz, experimental, and world music. Established in 1983 by Gus Harley, the cafe has served as a crucial space for both local and touring artists over several decades. Originally located on Bremen Street (hence the name), it relocated to its current address on Clarke Street in 1998. The venue is recognized for its focus on fostering a listening environment and supporting innovative musical expression; it's consistently cited as an important cultural hub within Milwaukee’s arts community. It maintains a capacity of approximately 75-100 people.
