The Westerlies will perform at Stanford Jazz Workshop on July 19, 2026. The Westerlies are a brass quartet – two trumpets and two trombones – known for their blend of contemporary classical, jazz, and American roots music. Stanford Jazz Workshop has a long history of providing jazz education and performance opportunities. Founded in 1990 by Jim Pugh, it began as a summer jazz camp for high school students and has expanded to encompass year-round programs for all ages and skill levels. The workshop is dedicated to fostering creativity, improvisation, and appreciation for jazz through intensive workshops led by renowned musicians.
