Experience The Hallé live on June 3rd
The Hallé, a renowned British symphony orchestra with a history stretching back to 1848, will perform at Bridgewater Hall in Manchester on June 3rd, 2026. The orchestra is celebrated for its broad repertoire, encompassing classical standards from the Baroque period through to contemporary compositions, and is particularly noted for its strong tradition in performing works by British composers such as Elgar and Vaughan Williams. The Hallé also frequently commissions and premieres new pieces.
Bridgewater Hall, opened in 1996, is Manchester’s international concert hall and home to the Hallé, the BBC Philharmonic and Manchester Camerata. Designed by Renzo Piano, the hall is known for its exceptional acoustics – achieved through careful attention to room geometry and materials – and its commitment to providing an optimal listening experience. It replaced the Free Trade Hall as the city's primary concert venue; the Free Trade Hall having served as a significant musical landmark for over a century prior. The building itself incorporates elements reflecting Manchester’s industrial heritage while presenting a modern architectural aesthetic. It hosts over 250 performances annually across a variety of genres, but remains fundamentally dedicated to orchestral music.
