The Bad Plus will perform at The Sinclair in Cambridge, Massachusetts on November 11, 2026. The Bad Plus is a jazz trio known for their unconventional approach to the genre, incorporating elements of rock, pop, and avant-garde music into their interpretations of both original compositions and covers of popular songs. Formed in Minneapolis in 2000, the group originally comprised Ethan Iverson (piano), Reid Anderson (bass), and David King (drums); personnel has shifted over time but maintains a similar stylistic core. Their performances often feature deconstructed arrangements and a high degree of improvisation.

The Sinclair is a music venue and restaurant located in Cambridge's Central Square. Opened in February 2012 by TT the Bear’s Place owner Richard Paris, it was designed to offer a more intimate concert experience than larger venues. The space features a main room with a capacity of approximately 525 standing or 300 seated attendees, alongside a smaller lounge area. It’s known for its focus on independent and emerging artists across various genres including rock, indie, electronic and jazz, as well as hosting film screenings and other events.
