Christian McBride will perform at the Berklee Performance Center in Boston, Massachusetts on October 28, 2026. McBride is a highly acclaimed bassist, composer, and bandleader whose musical style encompasses a broad range of jazz idioms, including post-bop, hard bop, fusion, and smooth jazz, often incorporating elements of funk and R&B. He is recognized for his virtuosic technique, melodic improvisations, and versatility across numerous ensembles – from acoustic trios to big bands and orchestral collaborations. Throughout his career he has collaborated with artists such as Freddie Hubbard, Sonny Rollins, and Sting.

The Berklee Performance Center (BPC) opened in 2008 as a central performance venue for Berklee College of Music. Designed by Renzo Piano Building Workshop, the BPC is known for its exceptional acoustics and modern architectural design. The hall seats 1,300 people and hosts over 200 concerts annually featuring Berklee students, faculty, alumni and visiting artists. It’s intended to provide a professional-level performance environment mirroring those found in major concert halls internationally.
