The Bad Plus will perform at Parkteatret Scene in Oslo, Norway on September 15, 2026. The Bad Plus is a jazz trio known for its unconventional approach to the genre, blending elements of post-bop improvisation with influences from rock, pop, and classical music. Formed in Minneapolis in 2000, the group initially gained recognition for their deconstructed interpretations of popular songs by artists like Nirvana and Blondie alongside original compositions. Their sound is characterized by dynamic interplay, angular melodies, and a distinctive rhythmic drive. The current lineup features pianist Ethan Iverson, bassist Reid Anderson and drummer Dave King.

Parkteatret Scene is a historic venue located in the Grünerløkka district of Oslo. Originally opened as a cinema in 1905 – hence “Parkteatret” meaning “Park Theatre” – it operated as such until 1988. Following a period of disuse, it was renovated and reopened in 2003 as a multi-purpose cultural space hosting concerts, club nights, film screenings and other events.
