Thanya Iyer is a Canadian-Indian composer, producer, and vocalist known for her experimental and genre-bending music. Her work frequently incorporates elements of jazz, electronic music, and South Asian classical traditions, often characterized by complex rhythmic structures, layered vocals, and introspective lyrical content. Iyer’s albums explore themes of identity, displacement, and the search for belonging. She has released several critically acclaimed albums including “Doppelgänger” (2017) and “Kindred” (2023).

Théâtre Rialto, located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, originally opened as a cinema in 1923. Designed by architect Joseph-Alcide Picard in the Beaux-Arts style, it was initially built as a vaudeville house before transitioning to a cinema showcasing both French and English language films. Throughout its history it operated under various names including Cinema Impérial and Cinéma Rialto.

In 2009, the theatre underwent significant renovations to restore many of its original architectural features while adapting it for live performances. Today Théâtre Rialto functions primarily as a venue for concerts, theatre productions, dance performances and other cultural events hosting both local and international artists.
