Cortex, the French electronic music project led by Sacha Dieu, will perform at L'Olympia in Montreal, Quebec on September 28, 2026. Cortex’s music is generally described as a blend of lo-fi house, disco, and funk, often incorporating sampled elements and characterized by a warm, nostalgic sound reminiscent of 1980s Italian library music and Japanese city pop. The project gained prominence in the early 2010s with releases on labels like Growing Bin Records and has since developed a dedicated following for its distinct production style.

L'Olympia is a historic concert hall located in the Plateau Mont-Royal neighbourhood of Montreal. Originally built as a theatre in 1926, it quickly became a significant venue for vaudeville and performing arts. Throughout its history, L'Olympia has hosted a diverse range of artists, from international stars like The Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan to prominent Quebecois musicians. The building underwent significant renovations in the late 20th century to adapt it primarily for musical performances while retaining much of its original architectural charm. It is known for its intimate atmosphere and excellent acoustics, holding approximately 2,800 people.
