Paradiso is a renowned concert venue located in the former Wilhelmina Gasthuis church building in Amsterdam. Originally consecrated in 1879, the building was converted into a cultural center in 1968 and quickly became a focal point for counterculture movements. It officially opened as a music venue in 1971. The main hall, the Paradiso Grande, is known for its high ceilings and stained-glass windows which contribute to its unique atmosphere. Over the decades it has hosted performances by numerous internationally recognized artists across various genres. The venue also includes smaller spaces like the Paradiso Kleine Zaal and the basement club HKH (Heineken Hal).
