Experience Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra live on July 13th
The Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra (TMCO) will perform at Seiji Ozawa Hall in Lenox, Massachusetts on July 13, 2026. The TMCO is a highly selective training orchestra comprised of emerging professional orchestral musicians. Its musical style centers around a broad repertoire spanning the standard orchestral literature from Baroque through contemporary works, with a particular focus on developing performance practice and ensemble skills under leading conductors. The orchestra serves as a crucial stepping-stone for musicians launching international careers.
Seiji Ozawa Hall, opened in 1994, is a 1,444-seat open-air concert venue located within the larger Tanglewood grounds. It was designed by William Rawn Associates and is noted for its exceptional acoustics and integration with the surrounding Berkshire landscape. The hall is named in honor of Seiji Ozawa, who served as music director of the Boston Symphony Orchestra (BSO) – Tanglewood’s resident orchestra – from 1973 to 1999. Prior to its construction, performances by chamber ensembles and smaller orchestral groups were often held in other spaces on the Tanglewood campus.
