Levon Helm Studios, located in Woodstock, New York, was established by the late Levon Helm, drummer and vocalist for The Band. Originally Barn A on Helm’s property, it was converted into a professional recording studio in the late 1970s. The studio became renowned for its warm acoustics and intimate atmosphere, frequently hosting performances and recordings by notable musicians following Helm's career with The Band. Following Helm’s passing in 2012, the studio continued operation under the direction of his daughter Amy Helm and partner Byron Isaacs, maintaining its role as a creative hub and performance space deeply connected to American roots music.
