The Stenhammar Quartet will perform at Konserthuset Stockholm on March 20, 2027. The quartet is recognized for its interpretations of the string quartet repertoire, particularly focusing on late Romantic and 20th/21st-century composers, alongside the core classical works. Konserthuset Stockholm opened in 1926 and is Sweden’s national concert hall. Designed by architect Ivar Tengbom, it is renowned for its exceptional acoustics, largely due to the influence of acoustician Sven Hultqvist. The hall’s design incorporated innovative techniques for its time, including a ‘shoe-box’ shape and strategically placed reflectors to optimize sound distribution. It serves as the primary venue for the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra and hosts a wide range of classical music performances throughout the year. The building also contains several smaller halls used for rehearsals and chamber music concerts. Its Great Hall seats approximately 1,917 people and is considered one of Europe's finest concert venues.
