Ella O’Connell, performing as Squirrel Flower, will be appearing in concert at Paper Tiger in San Antonio, Texas on October 28, 2026. Squirrel Flower’s music is generally categorized as indie rock, often incorporating elements of dream pop and lo-fi aesthetics. Her songwriting frequently explores themes of vulnerability, isolation, and personal struggle, delivered with emotionally raw vocals and dynamic instrumentation that ranges from delicate fingerpicking to distorted guitar textures. Paper Tiger is a live music venue located in the Tobin Hill neighborhood of San Antonio. Originally opening in 2015, it quickly became a prominent space for both local and touring independent artists across diverse genres including indie rock, punk, hip-hop and electronic music. The venue is known for its intimate setting and strong sound system within a converted industrial building. It features a relatively small capacity – approximately 600 people – fostering a close connection between performers and audiences.
