Spyro Gyra will perform at Playhouse Square in Cleveland, Ohio on June 26, 2026. The group is recognized for pioneering a smooth jazz sound, blending elements of jazz fusion, R&B, funk, and pop music. Formed in Buffalo, New York in 1974, Spyro Gyra is known for its instrumental compositions and distinctive use of saxophone, vibraphone, and synthesizers. Throughout their career, they have released over 30 albums and consistently toured internationally.

Playhouse Square is a performing arts center comprised of nine theaters located in a concentrated area in downtown Cleveland. It is the largest performing arts center in the United States outside of New York City. Originally conceived as a collection of movie palaces during the 1920s—specifically the Ohio, State, Hanna, Loew’s Metropolitan, Palace, and Keith’s theaters—the complex faced decline in the mid-20th century. A significant revitalization effort beginning in the 1980s restored these historic venues to their former grandeur.
