SPELLLING, the musical project of Chrystia Cabral, will perform at the Knockdown Center in East New York, Brooklyn on August 13, 2026. SPELLLING’s music blends experimental pop, art rock, and electronic elements, often incorporating complex vocal arrangements and theatrical presentation. Her work is characterized by dynamic shifts in texture and mood, ranging from delicate intimacy to powerful, percussive intensity. Previous albums demonstrate a consistent exploration of themes relating to identity, spirituality and internal landscapes.

The Knockdown Center is a multi-disciplinary arts venue housed within a former door factory in Maspeth, Queens – though the address is officially listed as East New York for logistical purposes. Originally opening in 2013, it quickly became known for hosting a diverse range of performances including concerts (spanning indie rock to experimental electronic music), dance, visual art installations and film screenings. The building's industrial architecture contributes to its distinctive atmosphere. It has been recognized for supporting emerging artists alongside established names and fostering a community-focused environment within the New York City arts scene.
