DARKSIDE is a musical project spearheaded by Nicholas Jaar and Dave Harrington, known for its blend of electronic music, jazz improvisation, and atmospheric soundscapes. Their music often features complex rhythms, heavily processed instrumentation, and Jaar’s distinctive vocals, creating a sound that is both intellectually stimulating and emotionally resonant. The project initially gained prominence in the early 2010s with their self-titled debut album, followed by *Spiral* in 2013, before a period of relative inactivity and a recent return with new material in 2024.
Music Hall of Williamsburg opened in 2007 and is a prominent independent music venue located in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York City. Owned by Bowery Presents, it has a capacity of approximately 550 standing or 800 seated attendees. The venue is recognized for its intimate setting and high-quality sound system, frequently hosting both established and emerging artists across various genres including indie rock, electronic, hip-hop, and experimental music. Its design incorporates exposed brick and wooden beams contributing to its industrial-chic aesthetic.
