The Pavilion Theatre itself holds a significant place in Irish cultural history. Originally constructed in 1903 as a variety theatre, it underwent periods as a cinema and a bingo hall before being restored to its former glory as a performing arts venue in 1999. The theatre is situated on Marine Road in Dún Laoghaire, overlooking the Irish Sea. Its architecture reflects Edwardian design principles and it’s known for its intimate atmosphere with a seating capacity of approximately 348. The venue hosts a diverse range of performances including drama, music, dance, and comedy, serving both local and national artists. It operates as a key cultural resource within the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council area.
