Sparta will be performing at the Cactus Club in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on July 4th, 2026. Sparta is an American rock band originally formed in 2001 from the remnants of post-hardcore group At The Drive-In. Their music is generally categorized as post-hardcore, emo, and alternative rock, characterized by dynamic shifts between quiet, melodic passages and intense, driving instrumentation. Lyrically, their work often explores themes of internal struggle and emotional complexity. The band released three studio albums – *Arsonists Start Fires* (2002), *Porcelain* (2004), and *Threes* (2006) – before going on hiatus in 2008, eventually returning to perform sporadically in subsequent years.

The Cactus Club is a long-standing independent music venue located in Milwaukee’s Bay View neighborhood. Established in 1993, it has become a significant hub for local and touring indie, alternative, and punk rock acts. Known for its intimate setting and focus on showcasing emerging artists alongside established names, the venue maintains a capacity of approximately 250 people.
