Sony Hall, located in the heart of Times Square, opened in 2018 following extensive renovations to a former Diamond Horseshoe nightclub space. Originally built in 1937 as a CBS television studio, the venue has undergone several transformations throughout its history, including periods as a theater and a performance space for various musical acts. The current iteration emphasizes a flexible standing-room general admission format with limited seated options, designed to accommodate diverse performances. The hall boasts state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems and aims to provide an intimate concert experience despite its central location. It’s owned by Bowery Presents, a prominent concert promotion and venue operation company.
