Rodrigo y Gabriela are a Mexican acoustic guitar duo renowned for their energetic and innovative instrumental compositions. Their music blends flamenco, rock, and metal influences, characterized by rapid-fire strumming, percussive techniques on the guitar bodies, and intricate fingerstyle playing. Originating from Mexico City, they gained international recognition after busking in Ireland in the late 1990s before establishing a dedicated fanbase through extensive touring and album releases.

The Count Basie Center For The Arts, located in Red Bank, New Jersey, has a rich history as a prominent performing arts venue. Originally opening as the Paramount Theatre in 1926, it hosted vaudeville acts and film screenings during its early years. It was later renamed in honor of legendary jazz musician Count Basie, a Red Bank native.

Over the decades, the Center underwent significant renovations and expansions, evolving into a multi-faceted arts complex that now includes multiple performance spaces – the main Basie Theater, the smaller Basie Presents room and outdoor venues. It consistently hosts a diverse range of performances including concerts, Broadway shows, comedy acts and dance recitals attracting both nationally and internationally acclaimed artists.
