Jobarteh is a virtuoso kora player and multi-instrumentalist originating from a prominent Gambian griot family – hereditary musicians and storytellers. Her musical style blends traditional Mandinka music with contemporary influences, including jazz, blues, and classical elements. She is notable for being one of the few female kora players to come from a traditional griot lineage, breaking with convention in a traditionally male-dominated field. Her compositions often explore themes of social justice, cultural identity, and personal experience.

Maison de la Poste, located in the Saint-Gilles municipality of Brussels, originally functioned as a post office built in the early 20th century – specifically completed in 1937. Designed by architect Louis Van den Eynde, it exemplifies Art Deco architecture with notable geometric ornamentation and a distinctive tower. Following its closure as a postal facility, the building underwent renovation and was repurposed as a cultural center hosting diverse events including concerts, exhibitions and performances.
