Shayna Steele is a vocalist and songwriter recognized for her dynamic range and genre-bending musical style. Often described as blending elements of jazz, soul, funk, and pop, her performances frequently feature improvisational vocal work and a strong rhythmic foundation. She has collaborated with artists across diverse musical landscapes and is known for her work with Snarky Puppy, among others.

The Music Center at Strathmore, located in North Bethesda, Maryland, opened in 2003. It serves as the cultural hub for Montgomery County, Maryland, and hosts a wide variety of performances including orchestral concerts, jazz performances, contemporary music acts, dance companies, and theatrical productions. The center comprises two venues: the Concert Hall, a 1,976-seat performance space renowned for its acoustics; and the smaller 300-seat amphitheater.

Strathmore’s origins are linked to the historic Strathmore estate which was purchased by Montgomery County in 1983. The estate’s mansion remains part of the complex and functions as an arts education center. The Music Center at Strathmore was designed by Moshe Safdie and is noted for its architectural features incorporating natural light and open spaces.
