DR Koncerthuset, opened in 2009, serves as the primary concert hall for the Danish Broadcasting Corporation’s (DR) orchestras and choirs. Designed by Jean Nouvel, the building’s distinctive exterior features a shimmering façade of glass panels. The Koncerthuset comprises four halls: the Concert Hall (the largest), Studio 2, Studio 3, and the smaller Chamber Hall. The main Concert Hall is renowned for its exceptional acoustics which were achieved through extensive modeling and adjustments during construction to optimize sound diffusion and clarity.
