Mutter is a globally renowned violinist celebrated for her interpretations of both standard classical repertoire and contemporary works. Her playing is often described as possessing a distinctive warmth and technical brilliance, encompassing a wide range of emotional expression. Throughout her career, she has championed new compositions, collaborating extensively with composers such as Krzysztof Penderecki and Sofia Gubaidulina, alongside performing core violin concertos by composers like Beethoven, Brahms and Tchaikovsky.
DR Koncerthuset, opened in 2009, serves as the primary concert hall for the Danish Broadcasting Corporation’s (DR) orchestras – the Danish National Symphony Orchestra and the Danish National Chamber Orchestra – and also hosts a variety of national and international musical performances. Designed by Jean Nouvel, the building is notable for its distinctive blue-bronze facade and exceptional acoustics.
