RTÉ Concert Orchestra is a full-sized symphony orchestra based in Dublin, Ireland, renowned for its versatility across a broad repertoire. While maintaining a strong foundation in classical music, the orchestra frequently performs arrangements and original compositions spanning film scores, light classical pieces, popular music, and collaborations with contemporary artists. Established in 1948 as Radio Éireann’s Light Orchestra, it evolved to become the national concert orchestra of Ireland, broadcasting extensively and performing regularly throughout the country.

The performance on October 16th, 2026 will take place at the National Concert Hall (NCH) in Dublin. Opened in 1981, the NCH is Ireland’s premier music venue and home to the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra alongside hosting numerous international and Irish ensembles. The building itself was originally the University Examination Hall, constructed in 1887, and underwent significant renovation in the late 20th century to transform it into a dedicated concert space.
