Stadttheater Fürth possesses a rich history dating back to its opening in 1909. Originally designed by architect Martin Dülfer, the theatre underwent significant renovations following damage during World War II, reopening in 1947. It’s recognized as a significant example of Art Nouveau theatre architecture in Bavaria. Throughout its existence, Stadttheater Fürth has served as a venue for opera, operetta, plays, concerts and ballet performances. The theatre is owned by the city of Fürth and operates as a municipal theatre offering a diverse program of cultural events. It currently hosts productions from various companies and independent artists alongside its own ensemble performances.
